Keep in mind, I am asking for the unweighted average.

Also, do NYU students take the hardest courses their schools have to offer (How many AP's? How many Honors?)

Thanks for your time

yes, that's actually what NYU says is essential in preparation for NYU. Most kids probably take 2-3 APs their junior and senior years on average and a few honors courses. of course not everyone has access to courses with multiple levels; therefore, nyu says to use what resources and classes you have to the fullest extent. Personally I took 3 last year and I'm in 4 this year.

ya i have the same amount of AP's

average unweighted gpa isnt really that meaningful since a 3.9 at my school is equal to like a 3.5 at a good school, a better question is average SAT score, which was 1410 for ED this year. 1440 at stern.

Ok, I make the SAT scores.

This year, I took 4 APs, and next year I plan to take another 4 (Bring total to 9)

According to Princeton Review (I believe), the average unweighted GPA of admitted students was: 3.6

I got admitted GSP

4 AP, 2 honors, and 1 college course junior year
4 AP, 2 honors, and 1 college course senior year

99.2 GPA rank 4/425

damn marc, u mustve bombed the sats to only get into gsp with those stats

I checked marc's other posts... he got 1160.

yup that sux, but i got the result of my IQ test and im 135. Oh, i got accepted to the Early Medical School Acceptance Program, im so confused

Marc,

Go with NYU! You'll have plenty of time for med. school later on if thats what you decide on.

With an 1160 SAT...you are on of the very few people (less than 5% of frosh, even a lower % of those offerred admission) to get accepted to NYU GSP with that kind of score (no doubt your AMAZING grades and other application components played s part in the admissions process).

Good luck with the decision and keep us posted.

Ya, i do love shopping in Manhattan
