I'm planning to get an MBA in marketing from one of the top b-schools. What's the salary range I can expect upon graduation if I were to work in the technology industry? Thank you in advance.

Anyone know?

friend who graduated from kellogg last year told me that she gets 125k. she works for a large cpg.

For Berkeley-Haas, a top 7 business school according to USNews: [For Employers - MBA Employment Reports - Haas School of Business](http://www.haas.berkeley.edu/groups/careercenter/07_08Stats.html#SIX)

What’s CPG? Consumer packaged goods?

125k straight out of business school and working in marketing would be quite high. Most recent MBA graduates enter marketing at the associate/assistant brand manager/marketing manager level. Base salaries there are typically in the $80 - 95 k range. Many cpg companies don’t pay bonuses at all at this level (P&G, for example). I don’t know specifically what salaries or bonuses would be in “technology” since that encompasses a very wide variety of companies and brands. The folks that I know who work at companies like Genentech and Big Pharma make about what I stated above.

Thanks for the replies. Let’s say that I already have a Master’s in electrical engineering, and would like to work in the technology sector after graduation. What can I expect to earn in this case?

Almost all top programs have extensive salary/placement data available on their websites, in many cases including a breakdown by region, and industry.
