what's the best book to use for preparation? I have heard the the Princeton Review is good, but then I've heard that its not, and so on. What was the book you liked?

Hello well i got the princeton review right now and so far i like it alot it breaks down everything so you can understand and yes its considerd the easy out of all the top prep books 1-collegeboard (confusing)2-barrons(hard) through my eyes the easiest way is to work your way up and practice and pratice o yea and try getting multiple books if one doesnt work for you the others surely will!

hoped i helped =)

The Kaplan book + the Platinum Edition CDROMs.

PR for strategies, CB for practice.

I did that and I improved by 470 points.

Blue Book all the way!! (The Official SAT Study Guide)
Kaplan just doesn't do it for me.

what score did you guys end up getting?

First practice test - 1680

First SAT attempt - 2110
Second - 2150

The Big Blue Book is great. I'd also recommend this book from McGraw Hill that has a TON of practice tests.

If you're looking to boost your math score, I'd recommend Gruber's. Also, Barron's has great vocabulary flashcards.

Rocket Review + Grubers for Math
Rocket Review + Maximum SAT for Verbal, Writing

Princeton Review and Kaplan are both good. The core of their businesses are on SAT prep.

Of course, nothing beats the blue book and the real SATs.
