What's the best major to get into Ibanking?

What's the best major to get into Ibanking?

Seeing as I can't edit, I mean undergrad. Would quantitative finance be good?

No, quantitative finance != ibanking. If you don't know what ibanking is, don't try to plan your major around it already. At the very least, educate yourself via different sources - books/internet/wsj about the various sides of the finance industry (not just naive message board people who think that 'ibanks' is the ivy league of career options).

Yea it seems like you should research a bit more on IBanking and what exactly goes on. To answer your question though, yes, finance would be very good, as would math or any other analytical subject. Econ is also popular. Although I would rank it below Finance and Math, i don't think it gets you any less of an opportunity to get into the industry, but rather finance and math would better prepare you.

Econ, Finance, Math, Physics, Engineering(less so). Analytical subjects are seemingly desired more than others - however, a high GPA in English from an Ivy seems to be as good a path as any.

If you're at a university with a business school, then you should be a finance major. If your school doesn't have a business program, then econ is pretty standard.

Quantitative finance is a good major for getting into the asset management industry.
