Besides the brand name stores, I’d say to check out the thrift stores. They’re pretty cheap and save you a decent amount of money. And it seems like a good place for college kids to get some of their stuff. If you’re getting furniture, please don’t go to Ikea…while Ikea has good stuff, it’s really not necessary for a dorm room unless you plan on having the dean come to your room. If you buy a couch, refrigerator, or something similar for your room, there is the chance that someone (or you) might puke on it for whatever reason (drunk, sick, etc.), or that there is some spill. Given the nature of college dorms, the furniture will be messed up in some way. Instead, just buy used furniture from a thrift store so that it’s not such a big deal if your roommate spills stuff or pukes on your couch which didn’t cost that much

I bought all of my dorm stuff at bed bath and beyond, target, and walmart. and then some school supplies from costco! :)

Bath and body works for handsoap, Seophora for face washes, walmart for the rest of your toiletries. Walmart, Target, and Bed Bath & Beyond for everything else!

I found nearly all of my bedding at TJ Maxx. that store can be awesome for getting name brand stuff fairly cheap. I got a set of Lacoste towels there for like $18 and found the same set on Amazon.com for $60 that night. but more frequently its hit and miss. I do like target, they are reasonably priced and have a lot to offer. when it comes to school supplies however, Walmart seems to be the way to go in my area.

Target, Target, Target, Target!!! Their Room Essentials line is cheaply priced but great quality! I wish it had existed when I was a freshman, but now I get my apartment things through that brand (I got 12 water glasses for $7 this year!!!)

Target is the place to be. =)

Did I mention, I’m completely addicted to Target? =P

S got his bedding set at Project Graduation! It was Tommy Hilfiger from Elder-Beerman and he won it at the silent auction with play money. I was kind of surprised, but he said “I liked it, and I knew I needed it for school.” We got just about everything else at Target (I’m also a huge Target fan!) Walmart and Dollar General.

I shopped at Target, Kohls, and Bed Bath and Beyond. BBB was by far my favorite, but it was a bit more expensive than the other two.

I have looked every but can only bring so little as I will be purchasing other stuff when I arrive to campus.
I found bed bath and beyond to be most resourceful but expensive, department stores will help with buying stuff for classroom sets more than bbb.

Target seems to have pretty much everything I’ve needed so far, even though much of it is probably assembled by Taiwanese slave children. I plan to shop for containers and such when I have the chance to go to IKEA.

My first year I did get some awesome bedding and towels from Marshalls. I’d forgotten that.

Wow I thought this died a long time ago lol. I ended up getting a few things from different places, since stuff is cheaper at one place than at another I’m almost done!! and so far I’ve shopped at:
Walmart
Target
Kohls
TJMaxx
Macy’s
Bed Bath and Beyond - i keep getting coupons in the mail lol
Thanks for all the feedback :):):)

^LOL
Those are the stores I’ve shopped at thus far too!
