What's the best time to submit application before internship deadlines?

<p>I always have a habit of submitting my application to a company a couple hours before a deadline, or just the day before it's due. What do you think of this habit? Would it affect my chance of getting into the program? Would it definitely affect my chances if its rolling admissions?</p>

<p>If it will affect my chance of getting in, how much will it affect me? And what do you think is the optimal time to submit application before an internship deadline? Thanks!</p>
