What's the best way to withdraw your application?

I was deferred ED to Wharton and accepted to my EA school, which I plan to attend. How do I withdraw?

Simple request email or fax. Must be some great EA school!

ooh chicago right? :) congrats

damn news travels fast :D

well if you are accepted by penn in the spring, it won't be binding. You've already paid your application fee..so I don't see why you shouldn't just wait and see what happens. Maybe you'll get lucky with financials?

Perhaps because the OP doesn't want to take the spot of someone who actually wants to attend...

I was equally enthusiastic about both programs so I applied early to both. Since you ask, I want to withdraw right away because firstly, I've been accepted by my other first choice, so nothing beats that for me; and secondly, the deferred acceptance rates aren't encouraging, I haven't applied for aid at both places and I screwed up my mid-year math which is not a very nice thing to show up on my app for Wharton when they review it. I'm going to UChicago because of the fit and because i love the program and the academic climate there; I got a mail from my counselor this week saying how well they thought I'd fit in... I understand that for a lot of people nothing beats the Wharton undergrad program, and I don't blame them - it is after all the best undergrad biz program. Right now, my replying a little more honestly than this may offend some of the people on the UPenn forum, and I'd probably be misunderstood for reviving the old 'prestige vs. a proper education' argument. none of that, but it's pure and simply my choice between the two.
