What is the blue book and what is its ISBN number? Is the Blue book like 10 real sat's from the new version of the SAT or is it from the old version and is it from collegeboard? Is there any preperation book from Collegeboard that deals with the new SAT and new PSAT. I know that the Collegeboard published a "10 Real SATs" book for the OLD SAT but does anyone know if there is a similar book that is for the NEW SAT and PSAT published by Collegeboard? thanks.

It is the Shiny Brand New Official SAT Study Guide! From the College Board itself.

Took me a few minutes to figure that one out, too. It is blue. Actually, it is shades of blue, but you know what I mean.

Do those SAT practice books actually help?

Taking the practice tests from the blue book helps more than any other type of preparation including SAT prep classes.

Hey, I got a 1260 (or an 1890). I'm following xiggi's advice and just murdering the practice books. I'm doing as much math problems as humanly possible from my blue book. I need all the help I can get (legally, of course, sorry, had a moment of "Perfect Score" there).

I'll let you know when I get my October score back.

how many practice tests are in the blue book?

8 practice tests

Isbn: 0874477182

the 8 test aren't all previous tests are they? I mean the new SAT has only been around for like a year.

They were all written for the purpose of putting them inthe book. Thet are not used tests, like the tests in 10RS were.

I've found that the math problems in the book are not quite as difficult as the ones I run into on the real thing.
