What's the busiest you've ever been during the school year?

I'm starting junior year and i'm wondering just how insane it might get.

Were there times when you felt that it was impossible to cram all your activities in one day, that there weren't enough hours in a day?

How do you deal with a plethora of activities and challenging classes?

Spending all day trying to finish my self studying two weeks before the AP Exams. I was dead surprised that I crammed enough to get a 5 on both Psych and US History in 2 weeks.

I am entering Junior year, so I am just exspecting the busy.

Junior year was my busiest. Balancing the loads of leadership positions, AP classes, work, volunteering, and tests got tough at times. I cannot stress time management enough. Your year will fly by!

In my junior year, all my teachers somehow must have gotten together and been like "hey guys, let's ALL assign HUGE projects that are due on the SAME DAY! yay! And tests on the same day too! wow Great idea!" Um yeah, it sucked. And then I would have softball games and piano lessons on the same day and the day before the test/project, guhwekwlf

The week that I had my 30 page paper due, AP world project, and the Red Wings were in the stanley cup finals... :). Pulled 3 all nighters in a week.

And that was all AFTER AP tests.

Going to bed at 3AM (sometimes 4) the whole year. I remember going to bed once at 1AM and thought, "Wow, that's really early!"

Hell Week.... Is just that. I have insane amounts of homework, a million ECs and then at least 7 hours of rehearsals and then some during Hell Week of every year.

I learned early on that I couldn't procrastinate like I had done in previous years. Get things done as soon as their assigned and take advantage of class time. Time management is essential and without it, don't expect to get too much sleep. But to answer the question...

One week during the year I had a 12 page APUSH paper due about two books I hadn't finished reading, Adv. Chem test on Friday, APUSH test on Friday, Pre-Calc test Tues, Physics quiz Mon and test Fri, Physics lab report, and a German Project... plus tennis practice everynight 3-5, work Mon, Wed, Thurs from 6-10, Key club Mon and Wed mornings, Student Council Fri morning, and all the other homework from my other class (english reading assignments, math problems every night, etc.). Lol, I actually cried once that week. Junior year kinda sucks, to put it nicely :)

The only time that I can really recall ever being busy was when I had 5 tests all scheduled for the same day.

That wasn't so much in reference to busyness at home, but more so to busyness in between classes and lunch. On those days I would rush to complete my tests so that I could study for the next one. :)

I had a lot of stuff, but it was all under control. I didn't really stress.

The worst time was when I had a huge paper for combined English/History. I spent all weekend on it and stayed up until 12:30 on Sunday. I only did that once the whole school year.

Don't worry too much about it. I didn't really study for AP exams out of class (except a little for APUSH), I didn't really study for Subject Tests, and I only started a month and a half before the SAT I. You can handle it. Cramming is bad though. You never want to be in a position where you have to cram.

Actually, I felt my ECs were more stressful. I really needed to do well in math (AMC/AIME especially), and I was running for office at the Latin Convention this year (it worked out!). I do competition-based ECs for the most part, so those bring some stress.

But it was definitely not a hell year. It wasn't worse than any other year of high school, at least. Remember, use class time to your advantage so you have to spend less time studying for standardized tests out of school.

When I had unavoidable volunteering, projects and tests due on the same day, and an obscene amount of homework/ the hint of a "pop" quiz soon from those teachers who never pay attention to what's due in other classes. This usually coincides with my sibling's various extracurricular activities so that my mom's too busy to pick me up from the right place at the right time (oh, when I can drive) so even more time is lost. And these days/weeks/months always seem to coincide with a down-in-the-dumps feeling and a messy room, don't they?

I'm a bit worried as well, also going into Junior year. I've heard it's very busy.

The busiest I've ever been was last year during volleyball season, because there was no free time after school. The days with no studies were the worst. I compensated by getting to school an hour early, which I'll likely try to do this year as well.
