the cheapest collage

i want to apply for an international scholarship student, and i would want to know the requirement for the collage

scholarship requirements

*Virginia Tech, Clemson. *

???

How does someone from Berkeley suggest that VT or Clemson would be within that price range???

Southern Ark is a good suggestion, but I think the costs are a bit higher.

Undergraduate Students:

Tuition (including approximate fees) for full-time
students(15 credit hours each semester):-$9256
Room and Board:-$4570
Other—medical insurance, school supplies and books:-$1674

Total for one academic year (two semesters):-$15,500

Also, there are some northern schools that might not cost much…such as in N.Dakota.

This thread has spanned a couple of years so the costs would have changed. Godwinanayo brought it back up.

Both the U. of South Dakota and South Dakota State U. are between $14-15,000 a year for tuition, room and board.

hell, everybody… i’m really interested to continue my study abroad, especially US, but unfortunately almost All the universitys in US are very expensive…
I’m interested at journalism… anyone can suggest some good universitys in US that are cheap, but also have a good quality ??? pllsss…
really appreciate the help… thnx

oh yeah… i’m from Indonesia… =)

I agree that starting with Community College is a smart way to go. Santa Monica College is the primary feeder into UCLA, UCSB, USC. Its current rate for non-resident students is $250 per unit. I think that comes out to about $7,500 per year tuition. Then find a way to live frugally.

hhmm… i see…
does santa monica offer journalism ?
and what about English as a Second Language (ESL) Programs ? does the college have it ?
because i think my english is not really good yet… so i need to train more… give me suggestion… what should i do ?? and any suggestion for another community college? tnhx

South Dakota State is a good option. Also look in South Dakota School of Mines and Tech. They have good academics.

What’s the cheapest university in the US for international students?

Choose any two students at any American institution at random, and chances are they are not paying the same total amount out of pocket to get a degree. The OP’s question is like asking, “What is the cheapest house?” The question only makes sense after you define your needs, your circumstances, your qualifications, and about what you can afford to pay.

Living rent-free with an American family while attending community college would be one low-cost scenario. Attending a very selective liberal arts college with $50K in aid would be another.

For an int’l student who is “full pay,” then the cheaper options are going to be schools like Ole Miss, Miss St, Southern Miss, UArk, SUNYS and similar that charge lowish non-resident tuitions.

There are some schools (can’t remember the names) that don’t charge non-resident fees in states like North Dakota maybe???

another cheaper option is to apply to schools that give big merit scholarships to int’ls. There are a few of those, but they have upcoming scholarship deadlines.

You also need to think about transportation costs- getting to the US, startup (bedding, dorm supplies if you are going to live in a dorm), and going back home to visit if you want. Also, many universities close down dorms during breaks, so you would have to find lodging then as well. Make sure you think about out of pocket expenses in college- there are many.

^^^

Very good point. That’s why int’l students whose families can’t contribute much find it impossible to actually get all costs covered even with good financial aid.

Yea, I believe the State University of New York campuses are the least expensive for non-residents of the major northeastern colleges.

In response to a comment above, some colleges do allow international students to stay in dorms over Christmas break, but they charge them extra.

hi… i need suggestion for good community college that offer journalism and also not too expensive for international student ?? plsss
