Whats the cheapest way to get textbooks?

why’s that, grassbandit?

Because you all post the obvious sites like half.com, amazon, ebay, etc…

You would have an easier time just going to a website that does all the price comparison for you.

For example:

[DealOz.com](http://DealOZ.com)

That site and others like it compare prices from the vendors stated above and more. It also let’s you shop through new, used, international, and rentals. Also, keep in mind that if the price is too low to be true then it just means it’s probably an international edition or an ebook or solution manual so make sure to read the product description.

Try campusi.com This site compare the prices from different sites~~

^^

campusi.com = dealoz.com

I’m surprised not a single person has mentioned the GreaseMonkey Script. Not only does it link to a price comparison website (isbndb.com), it extracts the ISBN and other info for you.

One “pro” about buying a cheaper version of the latest edition is that you can sell your books back next quarter. Last year at the start of winter and Spring I visited relevant classes on the first week to tell students I was selling the book. I would come a little bit earlier and write a message on the board or ask the prof if I could make an announcement. Very little effort and I instantly sold them all; even made a little profit!

i was going to mention it, but i remembered that it wasn’t working very well last time i used it. maybe they updated it or something. anyway, you failed to link the noobs to it.

[GreaseMonkey Script](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-los-angeles/437725-finding-isbn-s.html?highlight=isbn)

Odd, GreaseMonkey has always worked for me; never had any problems.

I figured someone like you would pick up my slack :D

The GreaseMonkey script is sort of useless now since the website shows the ISBNs by default.

^^ you are right. i haven’t noticed it before.

Facebook Marketplace + Haggling skills = Cheapest book with No shipping.

Order them early, don’t wait until the day before school starts! Anyone buying all the books at the UCLA store must be super rich or something, or their parents are paying for it.

^ Or they are ignorant about buying online!

On a side note, I hate how tuition is going up AND books are literally costing an arm and leg each quarter…
