<p>Is it a major party school? I'm not really a big partier so I was just wondering what most of the people on campus are into.</p>
<p>Hi there, I don’t attend SDSU, but I have a good high school friend who goes there. He says the dorms are pretty nice, sometimes being loud and then sometimes quiet. He isn’t a “party” type of person and seems to be doing well with other non partiers. Granted, his beloved girlfriends goes to UCSD and he practically spends every weekend with her over in La Jolla.</p>

<p>I’m not quite sure about that. From what I remember, SDSU has a major commuter population compared to dorm life so the parties usually end up being outside the campus. My brother goes there and he commutes. However, another good friend of mine commuted to school but found himself into a lot of parties. Often he would tell me that most of the parties switched over to UCSD though. If you plan on dorming, a car would be nice to have around. The area is pretty self sufficient however, SD has a lot of great places to see.</p>
<p>SDSU is the quintessential party school, and it also has a heavy commuter population so if you aren’t from SD county be prepared to feel left out at first because lots and lots of people already know eachother from high school or earlier. imo (and I don’t attend, but i know a lot of people there and grew up around the SDSU culture), it’s a tough environment to make yourself a part of, if you’re from out of state or even out of county. on the other hand, there’s lots of people there and they can’t all be partiers/commuters.</p>
