hey, what's the wildest, dumbest thing you did in college? or plan to do...

finally a thread that i like. I am going to work hard in college on the weekdays, in fact work my butt off. But when the weekend comes u better believe that i am going to be hitting every club near my college. Partying with my friends and for once in my life, enjoying my life!!!!!!!!

well you haven't enjoyed the first 17 or 18 years? that is very sad

Yeah, why haven't you enjoyed them?? :( I'm already starting to feel that annoying high school nostalgia.

I've quite enjoyed my life so far...if you've been so focused on academics you weren't having fun...well, I feel sorry for you

I know, I worry about so many people on here...esp. the youngins!!! Yes, it is important to get good grades-->get into a good college, but it is also important to enjoy all of the first experiences and fun things that are a part of high school!!!!!!! You will regret it later if you don't already!!!!!

I mean college is like the continuation of things you learn (were talking socially) in high school. Even as the loser I am, I've had a bit of fun over my years. I couldn't imagine waiting for college for the fun to begin.

Hmmm, that would be almost every weekend... from sliding down stairs on a wooden plank and knocking over 5 gallon sparklet bottles (backyard bowling) to riding down a row boat down the front lawn with the sprinklers on at 3 am. I study hard play hard... if you can manage your time thats what college is all about.

no i just didnt like high school, because of the people. I am like the most focused person at my school, thats pretty sad i think. I live in a little small town, and i cant wait until i get to college where alot of things are goin on. In my town there is nothing going on.

i agree with andrew. i hate when people say you shouldn't wait for college to have the time of life. what if you went to a horrible high school? sometimes all you need is a change in environment...

i tried to make the best of high school, but my priority was grades. there has to be a balance though, same thing for college. otherwise you end up with gray hair & wrinkles when ur 30.

only in college can you drink on a tuesday night ;-)

got my tongue pierced, hehe

Ahhhh I wanna get my tongue pierced!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, I don't particularly favor the people in my high school either, but I think it is an important skill to learn to get along with people who you might not have anything in common with. Moreover, what is to say that you will be surrounded by people you like in college? Maybe there won't always be something to do.

I guess my point is that there have definitely been times when I have just chilled with friends or something because there is "nothing to do" and I think EVERYONE needs to let loose once in a while and not be focused 24/7.

Granted, I don't think I will be lifelong friends with any of the people I have hung out with during high school, but I definitely have had a lot of unforgettable experiences that have not only been a lot of fun but have also contributed to who I am as a person. I know I will always be able to look back on my high school years as a time when I had a lot of fun, and I will always have the crazy stories to tell.

Alright, I am definitely rambling like crazy, but I guess my point is that high school, much like life, is what you make of it.

I passed out in a fountain on campus on my way home from the pub.

I am glad you all like this thread....my h.s years are almost over and I'll be heading to NYU..unless I mess up and they revoke my acceptance. H.S was not fun!! I am glad to leave!

my algebra 2 teacher went to williams, and he proudly tell of how crazy he was back then. he's said to have set someone's dorm room on fire... and i believe him because he's the best teacher!!!

hmm ... so many possibilites ... and by the time I get past crazy to the craziest few I am way beyond things I am willing to leave an electronic trail of ... college was such a blast!

breathfire? you're coming to New York? Then your college years are going to rock for sure.

But find real New York. A lot of NYU kids from out of state think New York is the way Sex and the City portrays it. And their preferred mode of transport: taxi.
Take the subway, go to Yankees games, check out Bklyn, live real New York and you're going to have more fun than you've ever imagined.

LET'S GO YANKEES!

Dima..are u Russian by any chance?
I live in Bklyn!
