Does anyone know anything about Adams House and how it compares to the other houses? I've been assigned there for next year.

It's a great house. It's the closest to classes and to the square, and it has some fabulous rooms (especially in A & B entry). It also has a number of cool spaces (Pool Theater, Kronauer theater space, Gold Room, the solarium in the dining hall).

What style of architecture does Adams have? Do they have a lot of singles? I was hoping for a single within a suite complex (hehe, I know I'm selfish). I'm sure I could find out on the Adams website but I don't know what my userID and password are.

How did you find out what you housing assignment is?

I don't have my room assignment or anything. I figured I was placed in Adams House because I got an e-mail subscription to the Adams-schmmoze mailing list.

It was really cool back in the old days when it had a swimming pool and students swam nude. My own kids didn't believe that until I showed them a pix in my yearbook.

P.S. I didn't live there and I never swam there!

Sweetsangria are you an incoming freshman? If you are I doubt you've been assigned to Adams - its an upperclass house.

I'm a transfer. Do transfer students usually get singles?

It varies all depending on which house you get put into. With Adams you may get a single within a suite and you may not, depending on your room assignment.

Each house handles transfers in its own way. Adams has a fair number of singles, most of them within suites. You may also get a 3-room suite for 3 people, in which case you can either have a single and a double bedroom, or you can make the common room into a 3d bedroom. Many of the rooms are ridiculously big and have beautiful fireplaces, hardwood floors, etc. I believe that all of Adams has private bathrooms.

Dude, I want a nudist swimming pool. That's so awesome on so many levels.
