Yes, transfers at UCB also can be spring admits. I wouldn't call it a wait list as much a deferred admittance.

I don't think Berkeley admits for Spring, but a counselor told me the other day that International Students have to apply for Fall and are then admitted in Spring. Strange, but supposedly this is how it works just for Berkeley at their Letters and Sciences dept.

Huh? I am absolutely positive that Berkeley DOES have spring admits. Everyone must apply for fall, but some borderline admits will get acceptances for spring.

As I said, both freshman and transfers have the possibility of getting a spring admittance.

Someone who's handy with those pdf docs that delineate admissions policy can shed light into this?

I thought I knew pretty much damn near everything for the Berkeley admit process but I guess I don't because I never heard of the waitlist for transfers before. I know they have several things like this for freshman including the TAG agreement for freshman who are qualified but not accepted so they go to a CCC for two years and then are automatically accepted on transfer. Also some freshman students will be waitlisted for fall semester and then go to Berkeley for Spring. Is there any info for waitlist for transfers?

There is no waitlist, only spring admits.

I think UCLA hopeful is referring to spring admits- just using the wrong word.

for UCB college of letter and science, they accept international students only in spring not in fall.

So everyone here is hoping to get into UCLA/Cal? I was reading an old thread from 2006's decisions and it had be clinging to the edge of my chair.

Buckle up your safety goggles and fasten down your geeky pen pouches, cuz decisions won't be around until you're frustrated, hot, and bothered. =)

so does anyone know anything about UCLA spring admits?

^ nonexsistent
