What's the diff between the Natatorium and SERF?

Is one better than the other? If so, why?

The Nat was the main rec center before SERF. It's just older but has some nice nice things like pools and racquetball courts. There also is the indoor tennis stadium with some racquetball and squash courts and the indoor ice and running building (Shell). Lots of choices.

SERF is near the southeast dorms (ogg, smith, witte, sellery), while the Nat is near the lakeshore dorms. SERF is usually more crowded only because it serves more people as most of the apartment buildings and stuff are located closer to the SERF. I go to the SERF, never been to the Nat but the SERF is alright when it's not crowded.

But the Nat has plenty of exercise equipment/machines?

Consider all the other factors if you are thinking of dorm location and rec facilities... You can find a phone # on the website and call to ask if no one at CC knows.

The Nat is smaller but less people go there. Ive heard people have an easier time finding machines and its not as crowded. Nat and SERF both have more than you would ever need.

machines suck, dont use them. they are inefficient and dont work in terms of strength or hypertrophy!
