What's the difference between an admission representative and an admission counselor?

<p>One of my college applications asks me if I've met with an admission representative. I met with an admission counselor during the open house. Is there a difference between the two positions?</p>

<p>No, not unless the school makes a distinction on their website. I think they’re asking if you’ve met with anyone who works with/represents the admissions department (e.g. a student), even if he/she isn’t someone who actually reads applications.</p>
