What's the difference between Computing & Mathematics Vs. Engineering & Technology

I want to major in Computer Science and I was wondering what the difference is between the two?

@VishG28 - I am at a novice at this. I strongly suggest that you reach out to the advising department at ASU. The group at the Barrett Honors college can provide a much more accurate answer.

Computer Science - broad label for all things from programming, cybersecurity and software development.

Computing&mathematics - At ASU, this department is not in the Engineering school. It is part of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. This will change General Ed requirements. The major uses math and computing algorithms to solve problems.

Engineering & Technology - I am not sure if this is ASU specific. At ASU, Computer Science is in the School of Computing, Informatics, and Decision Systems Engineering (CIDSE) which is in the Fulton School of Engineering. This will drive a different set of General Ed requirements. Within CIDSE, there are several majors offered. You can get more answers there. Just google ASU CIDSE
