Whats the difference between MATH IC and MATH IIC?

ok im planning to take the MATH IC since im in Alg.II. But, say I make a 780-800 on it, than will I have to take the MATH IIC as well? Will colleges still consider the Math IC?

PS: Why dont people just take the MATH IC instead of MATH IIC? I mean MATH IC is way easier.

everything depends on the requirements of the schools you are applying to...some may require IIC, while others will just say subject test in math. You can easily look up this info on schools' websites.

The IIC curve is much more generous than IC. If you're going into a math/science field, it just looks better if you challenged yourself with the IIC instead of taking the IC. But, it pretty much comes down to what each school requires.

There are various bits of advice around about which math exam to take, but I know from experience that its possible to score much higher on the IIC than on the IC. You'd have to be brilliant to get 780-800 on the IC, because the curve is much tougher. I got 700 on IC and then 800 on IIC - and I don't attribute that difference to my improvement between tests.
