<p>Silver line isn’t free, unless the driver just happens to not make you pay. But then you DO NOT pay again once you get to the subway (it’s all connected). So the total cost is just the same as the subway.</p>
<p>There’s currently some promotional going on that the silver line is free from the airport because they want to encourage people to take the T.</p>
<p>I have taken the Silver line to the T…takes more time than a cab. If you aren’t comfortable with taking public transportation , it’s not that bad to take a cab. I have never been stuck in traffic that made the cab ride any more than 1/2 hour. I cab it when my luggage is heavy so I don’t have to lug it up and down stairs. Also , never spent more than $30 including tip</p>
