What's the grading system like?

USC's reputation as an "up and coming" university has been in the news a lot. They've brought in a lot of new professors and spent a lot of money improving the school. To prove that they are at a new level, does this mean that the grading system is more difficult these days?

If you are a current USC student, it would be really helpful to know what you think of their grading system? What percentages of grades - A, B, C, D, and F's do they give? Is there is curve or are they pretty generous (easy?) about grading. Have you seen it change over the recent years?

Thanks!

Most classes are based on a standard bell curve. If you are in Marshall, expect the bell curve to be centered on a 2.8. Major classes are graded more harshly than GEs or lower division classes in the College.

USC is not one of the schools known for grade inflation, but specific programs (i.e. Comm) are.
