What's The Hottest City In America?

Do you know? that is, the city is always hotter than all the others, and during winter, is still warmer than most. And it has to be a normal, living city (urban) with people everywhere. Know the answer? I bet you're wrong :)

OHHH!!! IS IT SOMEWHERE IN ALASKA??(lol)

Bullhead City, AZ, is America's hottest city, with average July temperature of 112 degree Fahrenheit. It is a normal city, it has an airport and everything.

Phoenix???

This thread should end now...My answer is so obviously right!!!

wrong! i just checked bullhead city's forecast (<a href="http://www.weather.com%5B/url%5D">www.weather.com</a>) and compared it with my answer's forecast....the one that i know of was a lot higher in temp! Phoenix is the SECOND hottest city in America, good job. But you're still missing the first!

I'd love to live in that city and go jogging almost every day. Hot weather ROCKS.

Uh,

Jacksonville Florida?

Bullhead has an extremely low population density, and a low population in general (39K). Therefore, I don't look at it as a major urban core. I don't even think it's considered a micropolitan area.

I think the OP was referring to a large metropolitan area with a higher urban core density.

I'd guess one of the border towns in Texas? Death Valley, CA?

Brownsville?

Nope, nope, and nope.

Key West is the answer.

Needles, CA

Key West isn't really a major city...

again, no to Key West. it even isn't a real city like Jonathan said; besides, the one that I know of is much more of a city than Key, and has the higer temperatue year round. Needles isn't it. Phoenix is the 2nd hottest.

Weather Channel ranking of the hottest cities
1. Death Valley, CA (90.2°F)
2. Yuma, AZ (87.6°F)
3. Fort Myers, FL (84.6°F)
4. Phoenix, AZ (84.5°F)
5. Miami, FL (84.2°F)
6. Orlando, FL (83.2°F)
7. West Palm Beach, FL (83.15°F)
8. Key West, FL (82.9°F)
9. Tucson, AZ (82.5°F)
10. Vero Beach, FL (82.3°F)

that thing is inaccurate. Death Valley is not even a city with people, it's a piece of desert laying on the ground with nothing surrounding it. that "top cities" is totally false - Fort Myers hotter than Phoenix? go look up the weather for both of them now and their 10 day forecasts' - Phoenix is way hotter.

If you're referring to a major metropolitan area, say "what MSA..." and not "what city...," as city refers to a local municipality.

Or, if you are referring to a large city (300K+ population) say "what large city..."

it's Palm Springs, Cali.

Palm Springs is not a metropolitan area by any means. (pop. 47,000)

Palm Springs is a tourist destination, hardly a place to live.
