<p>Umm maybe im misreading this but you just answered your own question. It really doesnt give you any benifit. Your chances of getting in SCEA may even be slightly worse because about 10% of those deferred SECEA get in. You also cant apply EA to Yale.</p>

<p>They defer 30-50% of their applicants.</p>
<p>10% of those defered = 0.1(0.3, 0.5) –> 3 - 5% of the original applicant pool.</p>
