I'm in the Midwest, I use the ACT. The ACT isn't as strict, especially since my school is a certified testing site. They're top 50 schools, but not top 25.

i'm applying to 13 or 14... about 7 are reach schools and you basically have to apply to like all the reach schools/Ivies to ensure that you'll even get into one.. even then, it's not guaranteed.. 6 are semi-reach/matches, and 1 is a safety

LOL I forgot I even made this thread.

I was wondering if there was some kind of "Guinnes World Record" for most college applications. Thus far, our Romanian friend seems to have claimed it.

I'm looking at over 10 but under 20. Though if I have some "free" time. . .(devious grin)

Just out of curiosity, for those of you who are applying to over a dozen schools, how did your counselor react? Were they irritated by it? I haven't told my counselor yet how many schools I'll be applying to, and I have a feeling he's anticipating a lot fewer schools!

my counselor just shrugged and said she was glad i applied to some safety/match schools lol

Someone from my high school applied to 39...wawaweewa

im applying to practically every college in new jersey, johnson & wales, indiana penn, and pace

39 colleges? Wow! Haha I could picture myself doing that, but then I could also picture my guidance counselor strangling me for doing so.

How many colleges are in NJ?

I visited Union College in Schenectady, NY.. the admissions representative that met with my group said he applied to 47 schools. He got into 46 of them... don't remember what the one school was.

I only had 10.

wow, 47 and got into all but one, thats crazy

well, im thinking of applying to 8 right now, there are like 4 i can add if i think their engineering programs are good
