Break is coming up and I'll be around the house... so what's your current favorite movie?

...omg, i haven't seen a good movie in a long time...

well, if u've never seen it before, i loved Back to the Future

Enemy at the Gates is quite good too, as long as you don't mind a few graphic parts.

o yeh, i almost forgot Full Metal Jacket... lotsa swearing in this one though, but has it's poignant moments.

In the past few days I've watched American Beauty (which i had never seen, i really liked it) and Can't Hardly Wait (which i've seen a billion times, but it was much more funny now that i am far away from hs graduation, and i still laughed out loud excessively)

Se7en

American Beauty is my favorite movie ever made though.

Last great film seen in theaters: Napoleon Dynamite
Last great film seen at home: The Usual Suspects (one of the top five movies I've ever seen).

I saw Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind last weekend with friends - pretty weird, but I liked it.

My two favorite movies of all time:

Dead Poets Society

Good Will Hunting

My top 5:

Raiders of the Lost Ark

Annie Hall

American Beauty

Apocalypse Now

And this doesnt count as a movie but I loved the BBC Pride and Prejudice miniseries :)

Pulp Fiction, Pulp Fiction, and Pulp Fiction. O and I hear American Beauty is great as well. Another one, if you don't mind its graphic nature, is Requiem for a Dream.

Rent some older movies. If you want comedy, the 90's were brilliant for that. But my favorite comedy is from 1987, it's called Planes, Trains, and Automobiles with Steve Martin and John Candy. It's the quintessential comedy that is also sentimental and might make you a little sad. Maybe the 80's were better for comedy, there was also Stripes with Bill Murray and Animal House and some other good stuff. Then there are the older older movies, which I need to see more of. A lot of great romantic comedy stuff back then. And 12 Angry Men is unbelievable.

Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2
Toy Story
Finding Nemo

The last good movie I saw was Million Dollar Baby....simple story, nothing fancy...professionally done. But the last movie that I saw and wanted to go buy is City of God. Very entertaining movie.

The movies that shaped my early childhood (younger than 5 years old) were Superman, Ghostbusters, The Terminator, and Commando. Commando is a classic dumb Arnold movie. And me and my brother had tons of Ghostbuster toys. I never should have given that stuff away.
