Life is great here at Choate for glbtq teens. As one myself, I can say from personal experience that Choate is far and away one of the best (if not the best) NE boarding schools at which to be openly gay. Not only do we have a great GSA (gay-straight alliance) called SMASS (sexual minorities and straight supporters), which almost all of the schools have, but we also have an amazing community that tolerates and even celebrates glbtq culture. Most importantly, at least from my perspective, there are a lot of openly gay people at Choate–students, faculty, staff, and administrators. We have gay varsity sport captains, gay actors and singers, gay dorm advisers, and a gay associate headmaster. The community is diverse and accepting in so many ways. I strongly recommend Choate to any glbtq person applying to boarding schools.

Bump…

Pulsar, whatever numbers you add after your name, you’re still pathetic.

Are you guys five? I bumped this post in an effort to hear more about the acceptance of lgbt youth at prep schools. If you feel your bickering is necessary, please move your squabbling to somewhere other than this thread.
