What do you guys consider "pushing it" for Notre Dame to "unaccept" an applicant, grades wise? I (like everyone else) have developed an extreme case of senioritis. (For example, today is the 6th day of my weekend...) I'm just wondering if Notre Dame would rescind an acceptance because of a few Bs last semester senior year. As it stands, I have straight As, but I'm worried for myself lol... Anyone have any personal stories/advice to share?

Thanks!

I’m on the same boat as you and would totally love the answer too! I’ve always been a straight A student, but now that second semester is rolling around and with this senioritis, I might actually get a couple of b’s by the end of my senior year if I don’t get my act together. I feel so tired of working hard, I pushed myself to get straight A’s last semester with 5 AP classes and two normal ones, while working, volunteering and doing robotics that takes a huge time commitment, keeping up with my clubs and practicing my instruments. I feel like I need a break, but there’s like 4 months until graduation, which seems so far away… Do you think if I get like 3 B’s this semester I’ll be ok?

Dont worry about B’s. They’re definitely fine and ND would never rescind your acceptance because you got B’s, especially in AP classes.
Just don’t get any C’s.

The APs are in April, and that’s just around the corner. After that, the raison d’etre is complete, and most AP teachers that I know cut the students some slack.

True, but the APs are in May this year and only maybe one or two of my APs teacher is going to go easy after the AP test, the rest are those kinds of teachers who are hard and totally into teaching their subjects. Which is not bad, but they do grade harshly and we will probably be learning until stuff until the end of the year.

Yeah, you’re right about exam dates in early May, but the bottom line is that a B, even 3 won’t cause a rescission. Just keep working hard. Notre Dame admitted you because they’ve seen the results of that hard work. Your reward is more hard work, but that’s what separates the few from the many.

Thanks! You really made me feel better.
