it's amazing how many people will give up ivy leagues and UCs and MIT/Caltech when they can go to a decent college for free (or close to it). most of the ones who get scholarships study pharmacy. i heard that rutgers has a good pharmacy school, but i'd still rather stick with a LAC education, despite the cost...

^Same here everyone goes to Rutgers, because its 5 minutes away and is inexpensive.

My school has this thing on prephq.com I dont know if any of you guys have heard of it or if your school has it but basically you can research any college and it will give you like a plot for every college of where my school's applicants have applied and how many were accepted or denied. Theres also a list of all the top colleges applicants applied to in '07 where I got that list.

Also on the website for every college theres a graph and on the bottom run the SAT ranges and on the left side run the GPA averages so every applicant that applies to that one college gets plotted on the graph and then if they get accepted its a green dot and if they are rejected its a red dot. It's really a very useful and helpful site but your school has to be registered with the company if you want to use it.

This "scattergram" is offered by Naviance and is very helpful. There are also free sites that give you the same information for students across the country.

my estimation
