<p>I got a 93.9% in a class and I got an A-. I was off by 0.5 points to get a 94%.</p>
<p>But isn't the range 93-96 for an A? And anything less than 93 is an A-?</p>

<p>I had a class where 2 people out of about 190 got an A. Those are the 1%.</p>

And I can’t help you there, but I’ve always been under the impression that each course’s grade separation was different, according to the professor?</p>

<p>What class was it for? I was pleasantly surprised to find out that my 91.7% earned me a straight A in one of my classes, assumably because I always attended class and participated in discussion. If there’s one thing I’ve learned about the grading structure here so far, it’s that a little bit of schmooze goes a long way.</p>

<p>Idk what the grading is like in that class because my friend got a 91.7% and got a B+ in that class this semester. I’m thinking the professor isn’t aware of the issue at the moment, but hopefully he will be aware once his inbox is flooded with e-mails. Btw, if you missed more than two classes, your grade drops by 2% for every missed class over two.</p>

<p>It depends on the class. I’ve been in a class where 85% is an A- and I’ve been in a class that only counts 100% as an A+ (I got a 98% in that class -__-…).</p>
<p>Okay, I’m going to send him an e-mail tomorrow regarding the issue. I didn’t miss a single class except for the very first one which I sent him an e-mail about and he said it was okay.</p>
<p>Yeah it depends on the professor. I’ve had classes where 90-92% is an A-, others where 90-94% is an A-.</p>
<p>If I were the professor, I wouldn’t be too delighted about a student sending an e-mail why I got a lower grade than I really deserve on Christmas morning.

<p>I would just ask what the grading scale is. I know my History 7a professor sent out an announcement saying only 94.5+% were A’s (and you guys all say humanity classes are supposed to be grade boosters) a week before the final. Just about everyone in my discussion section complained because he sent it way after our chance to make it p/np but he refused to change it.</p>
<p>Just wait a week or so - there’s no rush. Let your professor enjoy his/her holiday, and go enjoy your own as well!</p>
