Guidance Counselor Rec: Will specify my passions so they are emphasized in the letter.

For the record, I'm in love with NYU and really really want to go there~

I think it’s 1 teacher and one counselor. You sat IIs are a bit low and not varied (take English or Chinese sat2), and your ECs aren’t all that. I think you have a decent shot for ED though.

I think you have a good shot; low-reach. Your ACT is a bit low for stern but you said you would retake that. You have a very competitive GPA w/ a good schedual and although your EC’s are not the most creative, they do show dedication.

Just retake the ACT, although it is a crapshoot.

i would say just to retake the act, and also take the sat1
i dont know if you’ve seen my other threads, but east coast schools really like the sat more than the act
yes, i’m aware that nyu takes both the sat and act, but honestly, i think most schools know that the sat is much more difficult, and thus a better indicator of your ability than the act
Also, it looks a little strange when you send your sat2 scores that you’ve never taken the sat before- and if you already have, then your scores will obvs send so all the more reason to get a better score on that
i like your sat2 and ap scores- if possible, take another sat2 (if possible, maybe a history or an english)
Theres really no point in taking sat2 math level 1, or another science since the school is already aware that you’re skilled in those parts

@nuclear, what do you mean by crapshoot? are my chances that bad? i thought i was a pretty good candidate…i just needed to confirm that

bumpity bump. one more chance =]
