What's the problem of not going to the orientation?

For some reason, I'm unable to attend the Orientation that is going to be held this summer. Is it going to cause a big problem if I don't go...?

There are 7 orientation sessions. Are you going to miss all of them?

I live in NY, so it’s going to be a little difficult for me to get there…Money is one of the reasons.

you can always attend the international students orientation which is 2 days before move-in day… so transport won’t cost you more than it’s going to cost you to attend anyway… you’ll have to pay the orientation cost though… it’s about $100 if I’m not mistaken

^Will there not as many seats available for the students to register for classes?

this answers your question: [Welcome to the USC Orientation Programs Website](http://sait.usc.edu/orientation/faq_under.asp#12)

although I would call USC to ask them if you could attend the international orientation, since I’m not really sure if you can (I don’t see why you couldn’t, but sometimes they have certain regulations… )
