If I'm in Rubin, would it be:

(Name)
35 Fifth Avenue (Room number)
New York, NY 10003

Or are we not supposed to include one thing or another? I remember one of those care package cards saying not to include something in the address...just don't remember what and I threw it away.

Your address would be:

duobeef LastName
35 Fifth Avenue, #0000
New York, NY 10003

Don't write anything to do with NYU. Then your mail goes to the NYU mail room instead of your building, and then it takes a few more days.

Should you put your residence hall as well?

Like the example:

duobeef LastName
Rubin Residence Hall
35 Fifth Avenue, #0000
New York, NY 10003

LimeButterfly, I think the Residence Hall name is what they told us to leave out. Thanks, shades.

No, do not write your residence hall or anything else. Just your name, the street number, your room number, the city, the state, and the zip code.

if my room number is
ru-9912a
should I say

35 Fifth Ave. #Ru-9912a

or

35 Fifth Ave. #9912a

???

You can do either, but the "Ru" just indicates the building. I've always done "#9912A" format and it's been just fine.

your room number is 9912a? That's an impossible room number. There is no such thing!

And shades_children's format above is the correct one.

or you can check albert under "student adress" which will have the correct format

yes! my room number is 9912a because I am on the 99th floor!!!

hey my room number is 0912A and when i saw 9912A i thought that it was mine for a second and i was like *** mate

haha
****in kangaroos

and canada's like...what's going on, eh?
