What's the social life like?

Any other schools nearby for fun and games?

Swarthmore and Haverford are near Bryn Mawr, and Philadelphia is pretty close.

Also nearby are Penn, St. Joseph's, Villanova. Many of your friends at BMC will have friends at nearby colleges so you can often tag along to parties and social events. I have a very active social life but it usually involves going off campus. Whether you like that idea or not is your choice. I personally love not having screaming drunk people running around campus at 3 AM -- that's only happened once this entire year, at Halloween where there is a huge party that lots of other schools come over for.

It's awesome in that way -- you can go spend a wild weekend at Penn and then come back to your stunning, silent campus, lounge around in your beautiful castle of a dorm, and of course eat fabulous desserts in the dining hall. It's also a great place to bring guests because you'll be able to serve them fabulous food and take leisurely strolls through the grounds. :)

Wondering, it is obvious you truly love Bryn Mawr!

Are the academics, workload pressuring? WHat goes on during the week besides work?
I'm concerned that some of these small LAC can be stiffling.

I won't lie, work is the number one priority at any brainy LAC.

But there's still plenty to do on campus at Bryn Mawr -- there are Classics, Physics, and Math colloquia, visiting speakers, the occasional band (and many more bands at Haverford's very awesome Lunt Caf

Wondering - are you a current student?
