does anyone know? i tried to find out at the duke website but nothing showed up...

Someone posted the 21L book on the duke admissions site...I'd post it for you, but i have it in a word document on my other computer...lol.

the best general chem text out there I know of is Silberberg Chemistry - its the most comprehensive and thorough book Ive seen and easy to understand as well. That would be a great reference book in case the text u guys use sucks...just a thought

do you by any chance know what site it is exactly?

As posted by someone on those Duke boards:

"Chemistry"
Author: Chang
Edition:8th

and also: "Chemistry Study Guide and Solutions Manual"
Author: I assume the same??

and also: "Chemistry 21L Lab Manual (Fall 2005)"
Author: Andersen

I think the latter is probably a book you can only get from Duke (since it seems so course specific)...but I'm just as clueless.

I hope this is the right info

A cool site is http://dukebooks.collegestoreonline.com/ePOS?wpd=1&store=320&form=shared3/textbooks/main.html&design=duke_textbooks where you could see what textbooks teachers want you to get for their classes. Fall classes should be up soon. I personally dont think its worth it to buy textbooks from Duke though. They're overpriced and amazon.com and half.com usually have better deals. (For all you orgo freshmen be sure to buy both the textbook and the solutions manual/outline book---sometimes when you buy separately from Duke it's not included. Its not essential---I didnt buy it until second semester but its a very good investment)

r there any textbooks in the FOCUS program seminars/writing class generally speaking
