What's the weirdest thing you've received from a college?

I got a cookie from Ashland university.

i got that same envelop RobDV
i kept it also!

cool things don't reach internationals :(

lol a cookie?

Yeah, Franklin Olin does have some interesting brochures. The anti-static bags they mail them in were useful when I was upgrading my computer.

The infamous kilt seems to have captured a good deal of attention.

I got a prescription vile with information about the college inside (since I'm applying for pharmacy major) It's so creative!

T-Shirt from Winthrop

Not exactly weird,
but I received a very personal Christmas Card from a college president. (And a one on one interview when I visited the school).
and trust me, not many of these were sent out lol

I got a pair of goggles from a school I had never heard of who was just starting out with a swim team. They broke in practice that same day though lol.

Not me, but a friend of mine who is african american and COMPLETELY LOADED (300k/yr+) was taken on trips sponsored by colleges to visit them. She went to 2 state schools honor programs, and 3 LACs in the midwest. It was a little strange seeing as she is rich.

From Hobart and Williams Smith I got a brochure that came with 3-D glasses, so all of the pictures inside were 3-D haha.

They must have the largest printing budget of any school. They constantly send anything and everything.

Yeah, I was offered a trip to a Texas school

ME TOO! And I want the post-its from A&M people kept on mentioning. I have never gotten those post-its (or anything from A&M for that matter), and I applied there.

This stuff doesnt really matter though. Its just marketing to get more kids to apply (except for the trips n stuff). Like, I got NOTHING from cornell at all, applied ed and now im ====> Cornell CoE '13.

Xavier sent me a window decal for my car and Robert Morris University sent a tshirt. Not really weird, but a nice thought. Still not applying to either of them though..

Some school in VA invited me to visit and gave me a voucher to have them reimburse travel costs. I had no desire to go there, so it didn't matter, but I found it really odd. And flattering.

some really strange like pharm school sent me a bottle of candy pills. with all their information about the college on the label. twas strange

no i didn't eat them.

i got the post-its from aggieland (whoop!) and many MANY catalogues oh and a SLINKY from OSU. very cool!

I got mails from US navy and the airforce
-> "Come to Annapolis etc..."
It cracked me up...
seriously, first of all, I'm not American; second, I'm not even American resident; lastly, I'm "asian" and a "girl" and definitely not good at sports or any other "physical" stuff lol
