the term "American Taliban" is a bit scary, but i agree if there are any, they might as well be republicans.

I'm a liberal and all, but is that really neccessary? There are plenty of political threads here, no need to drag down this one with ignorant remarks like that.

"Well, while we're busy stereotyping political parties shouldn't you be smoking marijuana and fathering illegitimate children like all Democrats do?"

Neither of the major political parties can compare to anything like the Taliban. Unfortunately, people with a "Christian Conservative" type mentality are usually very easily led and the Republicans have mastered the art of manipulating them to their advantage while only rarely really letting them have their way. The carrot on the end of the stick is legislating their sense of morality on others and the 'Pubs are always introducing legislation and grandstanding on "moral issues" that they know won't pass to keep them in their fold. Every once in awhile they'll throw them a bone when it jibes with corporate interests, but most Republican politicians couldn't give less of a damn about gay marriage, abortion, etc. One of these days, I suppose the majority of "Christian Conservatives" will finally realize they're being played and form their own minority party.

I wish them good luck and will definitely donate them some money to advertize THE Bible. We're gonna work together to brainwash and torture little children to make them believe what we believe. anyone joining me? :)

What, no one's mentioned the University of Phoenix-Online yet? ;)

Pensacola Christian is up there simply because of the post-graduation experiences of their students. Many of their nursing graduates report they can't even get certified or get jobs because they learned nothing. It has nothing to do with religion -- it has to do with them not teaching you anything.

Savannah College of Art & Design has to be on there due to the creepy, cult-like atmosphere and the various allegations of serious crimes at the hands of the directions. I can say as someone who's spent time on campus and who's had a relative attend and graduate that SCAD is one messed-up institution. If you or any of your children, friends, family members, or anyone else know who even remotely consider that school, please steer them away as quickly as possible. http://www.scad-and-us.info/ and http://www.scad.info/ are good starting points, though it doesn't get into the surveillance activities or potential crimes too much. That place is honestly /scary/.

"Haha! Dang. I forgot about Pensacola Christian College. I actually lived near there at one point. Here's a link to an information site that was apparently set up by former students though it looks like most of the testimonials have been removed. I remember seeing them last year and they were per-itty scary! Here are the Student Reviews."

I read those reviews and they are scary...Bob Jones is also one of the worst if you want personal freedom to just live as you would like to!

I think that Bob Jones University is the worst school in the country. I can't believe that places like that still exist in today's modern society.

I just went to the BJU website to see how the campus looked (didn't find any pictures of the outside campus, but I saw the insides of the building and the people were dressed like it was the early nineties and and it kinda just looked like an office building); anyway, I watched one of the videos for prospective students and I only saw one minority throughout the whole video. I think he was quite possibly the only minority at the school.

Unfortunately, that's true at many colleges, torrestowers. I've received promotional materials from schools like Dickinson and Connecticut College, for example, that contain nothing but white students in tan pants and button-ups.
