What's the worst thing about going to college for you?

1.) I’ll miss my cat.
2.) I’ll have no car.
3.) There’s not really much to do.

Finals aren’t as bad as midterms in my opinion. Midterms are spread out over a longer time and if you end up studying more nights in a row. With finals, you at least have dead week right before.

After that, a bad roommate, dining halls that aren’t always open, and schoolwork.

The worst thing about going to college is my imagination, which tends to go haywire when I am in a new setting. My last line of defense is comprised of medications; I’m trying not to think of what I will be reduced to if they run out.

I have panic attacks when I think about college, so I just don’t think about it.

Probably not the best idea.

In the few months that led up to me moving into my dorm, I insisted everyone in my family call my school “hogwarts” instead of by it’s actual name, because thinking about it was stressing me out too much. It was mostly a joke but it did make me feel better. lol. I calmed down the moment I got there, though, it’s not as anxiety inducing as you think it is before you arrive.

I was lucky last year I suppose, because I only had 1 midterm per semester, and they were called such but were actually just regular tests that happened to be in the middle of the semester.

And we only have one “Reading Day” the day before finals start (and any Sundays within the 2 weeks of testing), no dead week.

having my roommate moaning while she and her boyfriend were spooning and whatnot while i was trying to make phone calls in the room… ugh D:<

Dirty bathrooms.

Bad food.

Having less privacy.

Paying for textbooks.

I’m kind of dreading the lack of privacy. I’m not antisocial, I like being around people, but not 24/7…I need personal space/time alone, and that seems unlikely since I’m in a triple…worried about loosing my personal space/having wild roomates

I’m also really going to miss my dog. Lol. I mean, I can talk to my family on the phone whenever, but its not like I can talk to my puppy. She’ll think I abandoned her ;_; what if she forgets about me? aww…

Your puppy will never forget you. :stuck_out_tongue: I work in a shelter, and dogs never forget their people. Dogs who have been alone so long they’re half wild still remember their people when they come looking for them. And when she sees you again she will be so happy she won’t even realize you were ever gone. Don’t worry. :)

My family dog died the June before I left for school. I never had to get used to being home without a dog because I moved away very soon afterward. Even though it’s been a year now it’s so strange to be home and not ever hear any barking.

My dog definitely remembered me (I’d hope so–I’ve had her since 4th grade!). She actually had had kidney failure since a little after I left for school, and no one knew until I got back and noticed she was sick. Everyone, myself and our vet included, thinks that she waited for me to get home, to make sure I was okay, before she let go. I remember her looking in my eyes, almost like she was asking permission, and once that happened, she became a lot less lucid.

Dogs are much smarter than people realize sometimes.

^ Now you’re just gonna make me cry.

Better than what happen to mine, my sister put him to sleep without telling me.

Balancing all the work and stuff. I live up at college and work there, then I come home on the weekends to work two different jobs- Friday night, Saturday morning and night, and Sunday morning. The traveling kills me :/

^^ My dad got rid of my dog without telling me. Then he tries to lie and say she “ran away.” I bet he was itching for a chance to do so after I left for school.

that made me tear up a bit

I could write a book on this stuff

Main things are its “Judicial” system, the Tuition, and my school’s city
