What's the worst thing you could put on your Princeton application?

jus for the adcom pleasure......they prolly jus do it so that the adcom does not get bored on your application...lol That seems to be the only logical reason, as am sure it doesnot carry any significant weight on your application.

I agree with the personality thing.

What's kind of interesting is that my D really didn't have an opportunity to put down her love of guitar playing on the application, what with all the other stuff, and yet for website she put "Ultimate_guitar.com" and for favorite thing she put "My Martin acoustic guitar". So, it actually taught the adcom something about her that wasn't conveyed anywhere else.

BTW, my statements above should be considered as a joke....lo

lol we know, it's okay maddy underscore oh one

but you have to admit, after reading a long, boring app, it is kinda fun to read those kind of things.

lol...thx for the reassurance...

yeah, but it probably is there for a reason......a reason that is only fathomable to the princeton adcoms. Maybe theres just one word/idea they are looking for in that portion that would automatically get you in!!! j/k again..

i think it's a way of getting us more involved with the app and actually thinking just as it is a means of providing an escpe from bordeom for the ADcoms.

On that section I tried to have humor mixed with some little insights into my personality. On my app as a whole I tried to integrate all facets of my personality. For example, one essay was written humorously, while another was scientific, etc. I hope there is a single word they are looking for, and hopefully I have it.

yeah I did a very similar thing.....one of my essays were humorous although it explained a lot about me.....although I fear it was little too much. then the other was reflective....more serious. Different sides I hope i portrayed

lol it was only AFTER I submitted both of my essays that I realized they were both too depressing. They were depressing in uplifting ways though...haha

huh? would you mind explaining what you mean??

Lol. Would you guys like to exhange application essays?

lol....yes sure why dont you just post yours up on the site....then Ill post mine after....?

We should probably send it via PM. Thats probably safer.

lol I was jus joking!!!! LMAO! do you actually want to trade your essay with mine???

I figured you were lol. If you want to, always cool to see different people's essays.

I'll trade essays with whoever wants to...

I'll take anyone's essays and you can have my nonexistent ones. :D

you kno how on the princeton app they ask u for your fav quote

my friend said to put, "School prepares you for the real world, they both SUCK!" and i just thought it was hilarious.
if i put that on there, my tiny chance of getting into Princeton would be shot down lol

I agree with fred's comment a while ago about the random things on the app getting us engaged as opposed to serving some certain purpose for the adcom...and OMZ, my essays are also both depressing in an "uplifting" way. And I'm really not a negative person in real life! :)
