thx, i will, i still hope for andover though

I am 13 and got waitlisted at several places. When I called and talked to my interviewer, he said that one of the reasons was my age (my Dad is a lawyer and he said not age suit, shucks) - suggested I reapply for 9th next year when I was 14. They have had some problems with 13 year olds "coping"

oh my god. im 13 too, AND will be repeating 9th grade AND applied last year. (then my mom decided i couldn't go!)

laxtaxi, I don't think that means a 10% acceptance rate. They probably said they took ten people for each available spot, which means around a 50% yield for a 20% acceptance rate (which I think was Middlesex's acceptance rate last year)

huggin.....Ha...if that's true, you DEFINITELY wouldn't have gotten in last year! Your mom is smart.

Biggest: that sucks. you don't seem like an immature 13 year old!

I sort of agree with Jon on this one.

i did get in last year, to mercersburg, oh well, didnt want to go there anyway

I am new to CC....it's very interesting.

I have been waiting for almost 3 months for March 10th to come (since I did my applications). And now I found out that I am waitlisted at 3 schools (Concord, Middlesex, and St. Marks). I waited for more waiting :(

Andover rejected me so I don't need to stress about that anymore. I am so glad that I was accepted to a day school.

I also wondered why there seems to be so many people waitlisted. It feels more like a rejection (just a nice one).

Actually, no. They had like 934 applicants for 100 slots.

how come you did not want to go to mburg. I got accepted there and was thinking of it vs others.

because i was 12, and my mom thought to young. it sucks

Not true. They sent a letter out. It was 10%. They have a new head of admissions and he's changed a ton of stuff.

i hear about 50 new 10th graders come in every year..
