Rated A- in academics by college *******. I'm unfamiliar with this college..what's the scoop?

bump..bump

Great school in a rather unfortunate area that suffers from heavy competition elsewhere in Mass. You can get a scoop on it in the book Colleges That Change Lives, or on the website - Clark University | Colleges That Change Lives

bump ..bump

We visited Clark because of the book "colleges that change lives". They really put a lot of emphasis on professors involvement with their students and really do seem like a great school. If you have a certain GPA you can go for a 5th year to get your masters for free. I liked it for all of that. And they don't just accept the cream de la cream, their students are average students that they work to bring the best out - good rates of going onto graduate school - better than what you would expect given their incoming stats.

The physical environment is not so hot. Its in an old, run down mill town in Massachusetts, not much to offer students. The student center architecture was an interesting modern update of an old mill building..

Its a small school - and my son set limits - won't go to anything smaller than his big high school. So, it was a no for him. Also, I think he's got some elitism - he can get into a more selective school than Clark so he is going for it.
