"I have a 4.0 and 2300 SAT I but I foolishly missed the deadlines for scholarships. So, what are my options? "

In my opinion, if these are scholarships for which you would have expected to qualify, like every person with a certain SAT/GPA get it, then I would take a gap year and reapply. If you mean you did not apply for the 1/10,000 people get the award, then perhaps not.

From all my research, I would think TX would be a lovely place to live for med school apps. If you and your family WANT to change states, that can be made to fit, too. I changed states when my DD was in undergrad, she was able to apply as a resident of the new state by being my dependent. You should find and read the MI residency forms to make sure you would be able to qualify.

I would not change just for med school, though!
