What's up with "The Cottages"

I'm going to Pomona next year and I was looking around on Pomona's website and saw that an option for living is the cottages. I'm trying to figure out if this is where the lucky people go, or the social outcasts go.

Generally, it's where the lucky sophomores go. Freshmen are all housed in Mudd-Blaisdell, Harwood, Whig or Lyon and Seniors and Juniors prefer to live on the other side of campus. So the cottages usually end up going to groups of sophomore who want to live together "off-campus" (i.e. one or two blocks away from the rest of the dorms on South Campus)

Haha, it sounds cool. With the right people of course. No RA's there? if no, tight

Last year they just started making them subfree because some of the parties were getting out of control. There also usually aren't any RA's, but last year they made a new position in the Office of Campus Life (who is kind of the head of all the RA's) and she lived in one of the cottages. I don't know if it's going to be like that again in the future.

Wow, that's kind of a shame. it'd be really hard not to throw parties in a place like that. haha
