<p>I hope to god, and am pretty confident, that you won't be getting off the waitlist. Columbia waitlists so many and takes off so few, so luckily, your chances are slim.</p>

i wonder how many of the 1000 applied to CC. our chances are <1%! haha</p>
<p>6 were taken off last year, but the five-year average is like in the 30s.</p>
<p>The five-year average number for the number of Columbia College students who were admitted from the wait list was 35. The five-year average number for the number of Columbia Engineering students who were admitted from the wait list was 27. The five-year average number for the total number of students who were admitted from the wait list was 62.</p>
<p>However, some years none are admitted. Last year, 6 were for CC, and 20 for SEAS, but SEAS usually admits less.</p>
<p>Nothing against gays as I have many friends; believe it or not same thing applies for Jews. If I myself called it ignorant terminology, how could you think that it is ignorant? Either way I knew it would get lashed so I apologize. I usually ask for statistics and actually got lucky one time.</p>
