What's up with U of A?

<p>I have now sent numerous emails to almost every single member of the faculty of the theatre and musical theatre programs at the University of Arizona, and I have received no responses. I think I sent some at the beginning of October, November, and December. I really don’t want to continue to annoy the faculty at U of A. I tried emailing the school in general and they just forwarded me the addresses of the theatre faculty members which I had already emailed. I can only wonder what is going on?!?! </p>

<p>So maybe someone on CC can help me out! I am trying to learn a little more about the program and how established and structured it is. I have read their website and I have read the older posts here on CC, but I am looking for some more recent information. Are there any current students who can give any insight? Here on CC most of the information about Arizona seems to be slanted in a more negative direction, highlighting their “cuts.” Can anyone comment on the current “cut situation” at U of A? What is the program like? Are there any more RECENT alumni that are not listed on the website that have had success? What are kids from the classes of 2008, 2009, and 2010 up to now? </p>

<p>well, they messed up the portal for students this year telling some they were accepted or waitlisted and they were not accepted; our principal was told they do not like honors students,and have not had one complete the program in 10 years because they have “attitudes”.
Local actors have been told they are waitlisted so they can attract kids that will audition for Juliard and other programs… they know the local kids will come anyway.
This is all recent, and the next two weeks are the kick off auditons, so we will see how that goes.
My son is waffling on his acceptance, I dont really know what to tell him but to listen to all the people telling him to go elsewhere… I would love him to stay home, but honestly he did better with scholarships to three other schools.</p>
