What's up with UP?

<p>Is it me or does it seem like those accepted to UP this year are rather surprised they got in? It seems to me like their standards were a little lower this year for some reason. This is strange because it seems each school's standards continue to rise. But I can't complain because I think it benefited me. But just from reading the messages on here it seems many students were surprised about a UP acceptance.</p>

<p>What is also weird it that from my school alone, I think it was 15 kids accepted into UP. Out of state! Stats ranging from pretty solid to decent.</p>

<p>I think it's mostly due to the fact that the majority of the people (I am one of them) found this site because they thought they wouldn't get in. Most highly qualified people just applied and got accepted with little doubt or need to look into it much.</p>
