What's with Literature courses being 4 days?

Why are the E316K British/American/World Lit classes 4 days a week? Who's a good English prof?

I would highly suggest taking E 316K at a Community College …

Or testing out of it somehow. That’s what I did. It’s really a pointless class.

Not only that, its boring and most professors are anal graders

Some of the professors such as Bruster have pretty good reviews and give out a lot of A’s.

How exactly would I test out of it besides taking the Lit. AP exam? I really don’t want to take english again.

i have a friend who is going to another college (in new jersey), and she just recently took an english placement test for 25$ at devry university that was similar to the writing portion of the SAT and she said it gave her either 6 or 9 english credit hours.

does anybody else know any information on this?
does UT accept this?

You could take the CLEP exam for the class.

Here are all the credit by exams that UT offers/accepts:
[Test Periods and Test Descriptions](http://www.utexas.edu/academic/mec/cbe/testperiod.html)

Or take it at a community college, although that may be overkill.

To answer your question, the Lit classes are three days a week with a discussion session. Most classes, your TAs grade your essay-based tests so your grade really depends on who your TA is.

My advice would be to take it online through a CC or UT Extension or you can take it over the Summer or during the Winter at a local CC.

Anywhere else the discussion is in with the regular 3 hours. Thanks for the answer.
