Whats with the CAL grants this year?

<p>On my Cal Grant, I got $1551 for UCI and UCSD and a little more than $9000 for USC. I think all the UCs recommend those who qualify take the Cal Grant B, which is $1551 for first year and then after the first year, you get an additional $6,141. The max. UC Cal Grant amount is $6,141, so in the long run, you would get the best deal with Cal Grant B. I was curious about it so I searched on the UCLA, UCSD, and UCB financial aid sites and they all said the same thing.</p>
