I'm kinda ticked right now. I had big aspirations for studying physics in college but now I don't know what to do. I can't believe nearly every school has rejected me. I don't want to sound like I'm bragging, but I have every senior's dream resume:

-4.7 / 3.95 GPA
-35 total ACT (36 on math & science, didn't take SAT)
-800 SAT Math II
-800 SAT Physics

-Won first place in the California State Science fair two years in a row, semifinalist for the national fair
-16 separate awards up to the international level, merit scholar, math olympiad champion, etc.
-Extensive engineering and physics research experience though paid jobs and internships, as well as another job at a computer repair shop
-Personal written letter of recommendation from the former deputy administrator of NASA and from my school principal
-Founded two clubs at school, president of the robotics team, two years of JV soccer
-The list goes on

I had not a single doubt in my mind that I would get into every single school I applied to. Then I got denied at MIT. Then Caltech. Then Harvey Mudd. Then UCSD and today from Berkeley! I'm so ticked right now. I'm still waiting on stanford but the only school that I've gotten into so far is UCSB while my friends with 30s on their ACT and no extra curriculars got into many of those schools. What the hell did I do wrong?

I'm sorry if this is just a rant, I've never posted here before either. I just can't even believe it though, how is anyone supposed to get in to those colleges if I can't? I feel like there's a reason they didn't let me in. Do they think I made everything up?

I guess my question would be is should I appeal to all of these colleges? The problem is I don't really have any new info to add and that's something they require in appeals. I've been taking it easy ever since I applied. I just need some guidance this is just outrageous.
