I doubt that the replies to this thread are going to discourage me from retaking it for the third time in October, but I was just wondering whether or not there was any actual justification behind the suggestion.
Nothing wrong taking the test for the 3rd time.
There’s nothing wrong with taking it three times, but it’s suggested that it should be the maximum number. From what I’ve heard, for the schools that do not use score choice and require you to send all your scores, it is usually frowned upon when you’ve taken it 4 or 5 times. Their reasoning is that you basically only improved by learning how to take the test since you’ve taken it a bunch of times. This probably is not true for everyone but this is why you hear people saying a lot that you should only take the SAT when you are absolutely prepared for it.
If someone wants to improve by learning the tips are tricks to the test, they should be taking tests repeatedly as practice, not the actual thing.
Nothing. Zip. Nada.
You’ve already had the same response on your other (identical) thread.
