What's wrong with this! is it me?! REJECTED FROM 16 COLLEGES!

Hmm. I have a father and sister living in Mexico City. If you think kidnapping is not a national sport, you’re just not hanging around with those that are painfally aware of the problem – the kidnappers, their targets, bank officers, or Insurers who have to mobilize their K&R teams. I’m glad for you actually, that neither you nor your family are high profile.

You could always just go to UNAM :)

Are you at the Aleman, or Colegio Americano?

You don’t suck, you just didn’t research which school would be a good match. Also you most likely applied to too many reach school and if that is the case then no surprise that you where rejected. What you need to do now is find a school that the average GPA is below yours and that is still accepting applications. It’s not to late but you need to be realistic and find a safety school. Good luck!

can someone explain what is an instate flagship school? thanks!

I have to agree with kvnl21–low income needing lots of financial aid and being an international don’t go well together.
I just have to cite my son’s disastrous experience this year. So don’t feel bad, as my son had better stats than you sketchpad and yet he had very similar results as yours.

An instate flagship is generally the “best” public school in a state. For example, Berkeley in California, University of Texas-Austin in Texas (though Aggie fans may disagree with that assessment :))

There is nothing wrong with you. Yes, there is life after this, and no, you are not doomed. :)

You should apply to Arizona State!

Getting rejected sucks :(. I wish you luck man. Don’t give up hope. Where there is a will, there is a way.

Check for schools that are still accepting applications. The University of Central Florida accepts applications until May 1. There probably are others too.

n99127, thanks so much!

I consider the flagship to be the primary state research university - not the land-grant, agricultural, technical U, etc. So here in Georgia, the highest-ranked public school is Georgia Tech, but people would refer to the University of Georgia as the flagship. Miami of Ohio and St. Mary’s University of Maryland may be the top publics in their own states, but the flagships would be Ohio State and the U. of Maryland.

Don’t beat your self up, there’s always hope.

Einstein never went to harvard.

Bill gates didn’t finish harvard.

Howard ford couldent even run his dads farm

All great minds

You don’t have to go to the greatest school to be the greatest mind

Your ability to learn, varies directly with your passion for the subject.
